At the top of the city forest Sovič are the ruins of Postojna Castle or Adelsberg Castle. Its first owners were the counts of the Andes in the 12th century, but historians are convinced that its history is almost certainly of an earlier origin. A beautiful forest footpath leads to the castle, and the view from the top reaches all the way to the mighty Nanos, St. Lovrenc and Pečne rebri.
